ZAKAT AL-FITR £3.00

 

Before the end of the month of Ramadan, every adult self-supporting Muslim who has food in excess of his needs must pay what is known as Zakat-ul-Fitr. He must pay for himself and can pay on behalf of his dependants (he must do this if they are unable to pay). Zakat-ul-Fitr must be paid before the Eid prayer.

FIDYAH £90 FOR THE WHOLE MONTH

 

Fidyah is payable for a person who has become extremely weak due to an illness or old age, has no hope of recovery and cannot fast. They must feed a deserving person twice a day or give the value of the meals.

KAFFARAH £180

 

kaffarah is payable for a person who has broken a fast in Ramadan without a valid reason and they are unable to fast for two months continuously with no break in between. They must feed 60 deserving people two meals a day per broken fast.

IFTAR MEAL £3.00

 

During Ramadan ISRA-UK will distribute Food Parcels and Cooked Meals to Orphans, Widows and other vulnerable people to ensure they can break their fast and enjoy the blessed month of Ramadan.
