Feed The Poor

IMG_3755Poor nutrition causes nearly half (45%) of deaths in children under five – 3.1 million children each year. That is 8,500 children per day.

66 million primary school-age children attend classes hungry across the developing world, 23 million alone live in Africa alone.

Every 10 seconds, a child dies from hunger-related diseases.

Food is essential to all human beings yet food availability and accessibility remains a challenge for many. A great number of children in the world go without any food, many for days at a time. With the rising cost of living, providing a balanced diet for children who live in abject poverty is just but a dream. Getting one meal a day, that is not balanced is more the norm than the exception. Cases of malnutrition are thus rampant.

In response to such challenges ISRA-UK implements feeding programs during Ramadan, Qurbani and throughout the year targeting poor families who are most vulnerable to hunger and starvation in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

£2.50 per month contributes towards:
Two meals a day for orphans and poor children in Kenya & Uganda
£40 will assist a family for a month in Gaza:
ISRA UK Food Vouchers Program will contribute to provide food security to the poorest families and help alleviate their suffering.
