Empowerment Projects

Gift A Wheelchair

Most of the worlds poorest live in rural communities. In such areas where self–sufficiency is crucial to survival, a disability can have a devastating impact on a person’s quality of life.

The added demand on poor families to care for and transport their loved ones suffering from a disability while trying to make a living is immense.

There are thousands of disabled adults and children in many under-developed countries, trapped in isolation and dependency.

Having access to a wheelchair is a great and easy way to manoeuvre for people who find walking difficult or impossible due to illness or injury, but not many poor & needy families can afford it, especially those living in rural areas.

ISRA UK assists such families through its empowerment projects such as our Wheelchair project in Pakistan.

From just £90 you can provide a person with a Wheelchair and give them proud independence, leading to a more fulfilled and happier life while taking away a worry from their families.

You can donate today towards this project from as little as £5 helping people in Pakistan and around the world live a more complete life!

The Situation

ISRA-UK has partnered with a local organisation in Sindh and Chakswari Pakistan. To launch a free emergency ambulance and medical service to the poorest in the region. Our hope is that it will grow to a sizable fleet of emergency vehicles assisting the daily health needs of local communities and saving lives.

What We’re Doing

This initiative will provide for poor and seriously ill patients and for those who need the service in emergency situations, such as those who have met with accidents.

It will supplement and complement the public health sector and the locally run hospitals from where the patients can book the ambulance service. A partnership has been made with the local district government and District Health Office in order to make communities aware of this service.
