The Situation
In Uganda, like other developing countries, sanitation and water supply are often inadequate. As a result, many low-income communities in these countries rely on untreated groundwater for drinking and other domestic use.
Nevertheless, there are many natural springs. However, many are contaminated by surface water and are often in boggy areas with difficult access.
Your donation will construct a safe spring well catchment area with a water filter system for the community to access safe, clean, drinking water.
These kind of water wells are maintenance-free.
What We’re Doing
To tackle water poverty in the rural areas of Uganda. ISRA-UK is on the ground implementing water projects.
Providing water is a perfect way of offering a Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity) as the donor can expect to reap Allah’s blessings for as long as the well supplies water.
The Results
